FAQs

When will I receive my order?

Reeds and cane require a thorough manual process so you can receive the best product possible. Reeds may take longer in order to be scraped to fit your needs. Expect items to be delivered within 5-7 business days.

Is there a refund policy?

Not every reed is the same and so is not every oboist. If you are not happy with the reed you had ordered, each customer is entitled to one return or exchange within 24 hours of the package’s arrival. Additional returns will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The customer is responsible for repacking reeds and cane for return. If reeds and/or cane has been suspect to have been scraped, heavily used or manipulated in any way, they may not be eligible for a return or exchange.

Gouged and shaped cane can be refunded for 100% of credit.

Any bargain bin items are non-refundable.

My order came in damaged.

I do my best to ensure your orders are packed well to avoid accidents. If your order comes damaged, do not open the tamper seal on the reed case. Please send me detailed photos via email and I will assist you along the way.

What are the numbers on my cane?

This is for organization while I am processing the cane.

How long do reeds last?

Reeds can last from 1-3 weeks depending on practice habits and overall maintenance. It is important to store the reed in a reed case not only to protect it but to keep it clean from dust and debris. Please be aware that some reed cases are vacuum tight, this is not ideal as the excess moisture will cause the reed to mold. Find a reed case with adequate ventilation to prevent this. It is recommended to not eat or drink (water is fine) at least an hour before playing as food will deteriorate the cane in addition to the instrument. Replace the water and clean the soaker cup everyday as dirty water can negatively impact the reed.

For your own safety, if a reed has mold, please discard it immediately.
